On July 25, 2019, Kamal & Associates Corporate team participated in a panel discussion organized in Ramallah by the Palestinian American Chamber of Commerce and the World Bank on the new draft companies law. Managing Partner Rasem Kamal chaired the panel discussion; team members Mira Salhi and Saleh Masoud also actively participated in the session.
The session brought together representatives from the World Bank, top corporate lawyers in Palestine, business leaders, and representatives from different Palestinian private sector institutions. During the session, the World Bank presented the main elements of the new draft law; while other members of the panel presented their views and discussed different aspects of the new draft legislation. Members of the audience also contributed their views.
Kamal & Associates has longstanding experience in legislative drafting, especially in the corporate law field. Managing Partner Rasem Kamal was recently appointed by The Minister of National Economy Khaled Usaily as a member of an ad hoc committee established to review the draft companies law.
